Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that choosing a financial adviser is an important decision. To help you feel more confident, we’ve answered some of the questions we’re most commonly asked. If you don’t see your question below, feel free to get in touch — we’re always happy to help.
Do I need a financial adviser?
A financial adviser can help you make confident, informed decisions about your money — whether that’s saving for the future, protecting your family, investing wisely, or planning for retirement. Even if you have some financial knowledge, expert guidance can provide clarity and peace of mind.
What kind of advice do you offer?
We offer fully independent, whole of market and holistic advice across a wide range of areas including mortgages, pensions, investments, savings, protection, inheritance planning, and business services. Our goal is to provide personalised recommendations based on your individual goals and circumstances.
Are you independent or tied to a specific provider?
Sunrise Financial is an independent, whole of market and holistic advice firm. That means we’re not tied to any one bank, insurer or investment company — we search the whole market to find the most suitable products for your needs.
How do you charge for your services?
We believe in transparency. You’ll always know what you’re paying for and why. We’ll discuss any fees with you in advance — there are no hidden charges. Some services may be fee-based, while others may be commission-based, depending on the type of advice provided.
Is my first consultation free?
Yes. We offer an initial, no-obligation consultation at no cost. It’s a chance to get to know each other, discuss your financial goals, and decide whether we’re the right fit for you.
What qualifications do your advisers have?
All of our advisers are fully qualified and authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). We’re committed to ongoing professional development to ensure we deliver the highest standards of advice.
Can you help me with my existing pensions or investments?
Yes, we can review your existing plans and assess whether they’re still suitable for your goals. If better options are available, we’ll provide recommendations to help improve your financial outcomes.
Do you only work with local clients?
While we’re proud to support our local community, we work with clients across the UK. Meetings can take place in person, over the phone, or via video call — whatever suits you best.
What are your opening hours?
Our office is open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm.
